The Gulf Coast Association of School Personnel Administrators is an organization representative of approximately fifty school districts and educational entities in the Houston area. Our school districts range in enrollment from less than 2,000 students to more than 200,000 students.

 

GCASPA strives to promote better techniques and procedures for evaluating personnel and assessing professional qualifications in the recruitment, selection, assignment, development, retention, and promotion of public school personnel. In addition, the organization helps future and present teacher applicants find employment within the Gulf Coast Area.

 

GCASPA interacts with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to share information on certification issues, concerns, and needs of  the member districts.  Communicating with the state and other members allows  the organization to improve on the administration of school personnel by engaging in the discussion & interchange of ideas, data, and policy.
